Comprehensive Retirement and Financial Planning Strategies

Located in Wyoming County, Straightforward Wealth Management LLC is an independent retirement planning and financial consulting firm serving individuals, families, and small business owners largely based in northeast Pennsylvania. Founded in 2002, the firm is led by Bernard Martin, an Investment Advisor Representative with LPL Financial, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and more than 32 years of experience in the tax and accounting industry.

Bernie founded Straightforward Wealth Management with the goal of providing investment education and financial planning guidance that may help clients make well-informed and confident decisions. With a tax and accounting background, Bernie strives to bridge the gap between tax and financial planning and incorporates tax strategies with retirement planning. This may help clients mitigate taxes and preserve their wealth through their retirement years.

We largely work with current or former Procter & Gamble and local union employees and those who receive natural gas royalties and want to develop a financial plan for retirement. Many of the individuals receiving natural gas royalties have worked hard their whole life and now are receiving their deserved fortune in the form of royalties.

With the financial markets constantly shifting, we understand how difficult it can be to plan for retirement or determine how best to handle natural gas royalties. We have an unrelenting passion for knowledge and expertise in these areas and have challenged conventional wisdom time and time again in natural gas and retirement planning by thinking outside of the box.

At Straightforward Wealth Management, our priority is to provide honest and objective advice, and to help clients navigate the complexities of financial planning, from retirement to tax mitigation strategies. As an independent firm supported by LPL Financial, the largest independent broker/dealer in the nation*, we don’t have any proprietary products or conflicts of interest. Instead, we have the flexibility to choose from a wide range of services and solutions based on our clients’ individual goals and unique needs.

We develop customized plans for each of our clients. Using dynamic, user-friendly technology, including risk analysis software and complete financial planning software, we strive to arm clients with a comprehensive financial plan that addresses today’s needs and tomorrow’s goals. Additionally, we offer our clients their own personal financial website where they can see everything they own in one place in real-time. This may help clients better see where they currently are and where they want to be.

We are committed to providing our clients with impeccable service and building long-lasting relationships based on trust. To learn more about how we can help you with retirement planning, wealth management, or natural gas royalties, or to receive a complimentary, obligation-free consultation, contact us today.
